So many INTENSIVES out there, so many “I TAUGHT GOD HOW TO ACT AND NOW I WILL TEACH YOU” promises – we make no such claims. We do, however, pledge that at the end of these 4 weeks of daily classes, you will be grounded in the USEFUL elements of the Meisner Technique and their application to scene work and cold readings. You will have basic, practical tools to use on any audition and on any set and you will be able to live in the moment and apply that spontaneity to scene work. And all this without being abused into the rigors of an outdated, irrelevant 20th century acting technique from 1947. The great teachers of the past like Sanford Meisner, Stella Adler, and Lee Strasberg should inspire you to seek out the innovative, the adventurous, and the currently practical, like they did in their time. In the end, unless you rigorously celebrate your talent and your actors’ spirit, you are probably serving the eternal parent in your head, and who needs more of that?
